Deanna Cherry

Senior Facilitator

Deanna is senior facilitator for the Center for Urban Education. Her responsibilities include developing and leading training sessions for community colleges and universities working to increase equitable outcomes on their campuses. Deanna’s focus is on supporting groups to articulate nascent knowledge through enriched, honest dialogue. In her previous work, Deanna raised over 13 million dollars for anti-poverty and social justice programs. She received a B.A. in Intergroup Relationships and Discrimination and a B.A. in International Development from UCLA, where she graduated with honors. She is a graduate of the prestigious Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs, and President of the Adamma Foundation Board of Directors.
