Maxine Roberts is a research assistant with the Center for Urban Education and a PhD student through USC’s Rossier School of Education. Her interests lie in college persistence and retention as it pertains to underserved students of color. Prior to attending USC’s Rossier School of Education, Maxine was Assistant Director, then Director for the Liberty LEADS program at Bank Street College of Education.
Roberts completed her Master’s in Reading and Literacy Specialization at Bank Street College of Education in May 2006. She has a B.S. in Computer Science from Mount Holyoke College, and a degree in English Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College.
