Román Liera

Research Assistant

Román Liera is a doctoral student at the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education. Román is a research assistant working with Dr. Alicia C. Dowd at the Center for Urban Education. His research interests include: community colleges, student transfer to four-year universities, Latino students, transformational resistance, and persistence. He transferred from Los Angeles Pierce College to San Diego State University where he earned a bachelor degree in Psychology and a master degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
