Dr. Dowd Appointed to 2016 Houston Higher Education Finance Roundtable Faculty

CUE Co-Director Alicia Dowd has been named a senior faculty member of the 2016 Higher Education Finance Roundtable. The roundtable, sponsored by the University of Houston Law Center’s Law for Higher Education Law and Governance, is designed to improve the skills of junior, pre-tenured/tenure-track faculty conducting research in the fields of college economics, higher education finance, financial aid. Appointment to this prestigious committee reflects Dr. Dowd’s commitment to equity in higher education. Some of Dr. Dowd’s recent work includes coauthoring “Engaging the Race Question: Accountability and Equity in Higher Education” and her work as Co-PI on the National Science Foundation funded “Broadending Participation in Math” conference, as well as leading sessions at the Center for Urban for Education’s Student Equity Planning Institute.
