Keith Witham is an assistant professor of higher education at Temple University and serves as a policy adviser to the Center for Urban Education, where as a doctoral student he worked with Dr. Estela Mara Bensimon on institution and statewide implementation of CUE’s Equity Scorecard. Prior to coming to USC, Keith was Senior Research Analyst at Complete College America, a nonprofit organization that works with state policymakers to promote college completion. Keith was also a program associate at the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, where he worked on grant-making initiatives focused on building transfer pathways for high-achieving low-income community college students. His research focuses on the interaction of state/federal policy and institutional change, and organizational factors that promote postsecondary success for individuals from groups not historically well served by higher education institutions. Keith earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Social Service Administration, both from the University of Chicago. He received his PhD from the USC Rossier School of Education.
